Dyneema Ltd was contracted as a subcontractor working for Siemens on a project to improve the security systems at the perimeter of the plant. The duct routes cumulatively, an overall length in excess of 5 km were laid in shallow trenches with intermittent chambers at approximately 90-metre centres. Electric and Optic fibre cables were pulled and left to be terminated in the main electrical intake rooms by the Siemens electricians. Dyneema Ltd also constructed 24 No CCTV Camera bases and erected cameras, as well as 4 large in situ concrete bases to receive specialist electrical cabinets. The project was delivered on time, in an efficient and competent manner with a strong emphasis on the management of permits to work, on an elevated level of compliance to Health and Safety and the special rules expected on such an important site.
