Dyneema Ltd was contracted as a subcontractor to service and clean the confined space inside the bridge deck, 24 hours x 7 days a week, whilst structural damage was investigated and assessed. Urgent repairs were implemented in the form of a new stressing system installing cables, on the bridge deck.
Dyneema Ltd also carried out concrete works to form new insitu anchorages and twin dwarf retaining walls to protect the new post-tensioned cables.
Finally, on completing the remedial to the bridge, form new access manholes to the bridge deck and inspection stairs to the pier base, giving easy from the undercroft to the new central cables on the bridge deck adjacent to live traffic on A4 Hammersmith Fly Over for future inspections.
